The author misconfigured their dns and blames proton for not telling them, thinks getting horizon grants is problematic because they also sponsor companies with different goals and hand waves issues around the bridge (which I have used for years and has absolutely improved in the last couple).
They then complain about downgrading to a free account and losing access to a .pm.me email they used, even though the support literally explained the technical reason why and even offered to fix it for them!

Some technical issues that seem to be fuckups by the author and a vague complaint about a grant from Horizon that also funds some not so privacy friendly things. Guilty by association or something. I see no reason at all in this post to avoid Proton.

I wish there were a summary up front. Or at the end. Software didn't work? Security problems? Bad support? Too expensive? I can't tell.
