That's assuming that they even ship to your country. Framework still only ship to a very limited number of countries, which I don't understand why, when other small laptop makers like Star Labs (UK) have no issues shipping worldwide without any fuss.

The thing about Framework I am guessing they do batches and which means they aren't getting volume discount or OEM prices. A lot of those components are retails parts. They might have lower margin than you expect.
I am somewhat surprised by MacBook Pro's pricing. Seems to be a lot more affordable than it used to be.
