I’d recommend you look at Fedora Atomic Kinote. It’s running KDE plasma but has a very robust upgrade path with fallback if things fail that make for a good daily driver, still running KDE plasma.

These hardware issues (too hot, unstable), are they due to installing Fedora? Or is that typical of the Framework Laptop 16?
