Early versions would crash browsers with large or malformed files, so I built in multiple safety nets:
- 50MB file size limit (seems generous but prevents memory issues)
- Pattern detection that blocks obvious non-JSON content and dangerous patterns
- Multiple timeout layers - there's a 5-second emergency brake plus adaptive timeouts
- Sampling strategy for large files - it checks the beginning, middle, and end before processing the whole thing
