Rosetta is being withdrawn slowly and I believe was scheduled to transitione to games-only in this fall’s macOS. steamcmd, not being a game, might well not be operable under it.

Can't you just run it under Rosetta?

Rosetta 2 is being sunset. It won’t exist at all in iOS 28.
You need to find a different solution very soon, if you’re going to be dependent on Rosetta.
